Site Updates

We are in the process of updating the site to freshen things up, picture galleries have been installed and will be added to over time. We will also be adding additional detail to our projects list and adding information about new services we offer. As each section is updated we will post further news and links. ENDERBY CONSTRUCTION POISED FOR RECORD SALES

A construction company is on track to deliver record-breaking sales after winning major contracts with housebuilders.

Enderby Construction will see its turnover catapult past the £12 million mark this year following a successful few months.

The firm, in Stewart Avenue, Enderby, carries out services which include building the foundations for new homes, building road access and sewer installation.

Dan Wade, operations director, said it had landed deals worth £3.5 million in the past few months.

He said: "We are delighted with the company's progress, and it shows we are moving in the right direction.

"We have built a good reputation among housebuilders there and this is our strength, and we want to build on this.

"All of our work is carried out in the Yorkshire and Humberside area and moving further south on projects is something we are considering.

"At the moment, we are working on more than 20 projects with negotiations ongoing to win more contracts. Last year, our turnover was about £10 million and we are set to hit the £12 million mark for 2006."

The business was formed nine years ago and employs about 135 people including 15 in Leicestershire. It is headed by managing director John Walsh.

It has secured a number of deals with major housebuilders in the past few months including a contract worth £2 million from Miller Homes's Yorkshire office.

It has also placed an order for £167,000 with BTE Plant Sales of Markfield for new plant items. Mr Wade added it was looking to move premises and had put in offers for two sites in Leicestershire.

He said: "We have put the offers in but until they have signed we can't say where they are. They are in the Leicestershire area and we want to remain here. We are hoping the deal is done before Christmas.

"We have a lot of plans for the business and our long-term aims and this includes Tarmac surfacing."

The firm has patented a manhole cover which it hopes to make available across the country in the next few months.
